Knight Point Systems Distinguishes Itself from the Competition at Every Turn

November 4, 2015 – Reston, VA – Corroborating Knight Point Systems’ numerous recognition over the past several years as one of Virginia’s best workplaces and evidence of their emphasis on hiring and continually developing top tier employees, personnel from a KPS-led team have swept DHS headquarters’ Cyber Security Professional Awards.

The Managed Compliance Services (MCS) contract, worth $77.2M, is KPS’ largest Cyber Security contract, and delivers flexible ‘as a Service’ support to assist DHS’ Risk Management Division (RMD) in providing security services to systems within DHS HQ and other component environments. Knight Point responds to DHS HQ’s rapidly growing Security Portfolio—consisting of over 60 operational FISMA systems—with Cyber, Information Assurance, and COMSEC support. KPS’ service model allows the government to cut costs by scaling their expenses month to month.
Each year, DHS organizations nominate a Federal employee or contractor employee for awards on a number of categories. From the nominations, each DHS component chooses a winner, and then DHS holds a department-wide awards ceremony to recognize and congratulate these exceptional personnel.
Honors for Knight Point’s MCS Team include:
– HQ Compliance Professional of the Year (Gary Varner),
– HQ ISSO of the Year (Gerald Johnson),
– HQ Security Engineer of the Year (David Dalling), and
– HQ Intelligence Analyst if the Year (Paige Harrison)
