Knight Point Systems Named a 2016 GovStar Award Winner

November 22, 2016 – Reston, VA – Knight Point Systems, a premier provider of IT services and innovative cloud solutions, has been named a 2016 SmartCEO GovStar Award winner. KPS was one of two finalists selected in the Star Workplace (Large) category. The Star Workplace Award recognizes a government contractor that has created a dynamic, engaging workplace environment for its employees.

Washington SmartCEO celebrated leading government contractors for their growth, innovation, corporate culture, veteran support and industry impact at the 2016 GovStar Awards, which took place on Nov. 21, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Reston. This year’s finalists and winners collectively generate more than $6.5 billion in annual revenue and employ more than 27,000 individuals in Greater Washington. GovStar charity partner USO kicked off the evening with an inspirational speech, commending current and former military members.

More than 350 executives and decision-makers attended the high-energy celebration to honor the 2016 GovStar Awards finalists and winners and their achievements. The evening kicked off with a cocktail and networking reception, and the video-packed awards presentation commemorated Greater Washington’s top government contracting sector. Companies were recognized in five categories: Star Performer, Star Warfighter, Star Workplace, Technical Trailblazer, and Industry Star.
